Prior to his present appointment, he retired as Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Government of Bangladesh. He also served as a National Consultant, Reforms in Government Audit (RIGA) Project for two years.
In the capacity of Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary and Deputy Secretary of different Ministries, he has had a unique opportunity to work in several important fields of governmental operations.
He started his career as a Lecturer in English in Rajshahi College.
He qualified in the Central Superior Services Examination and joined Audit & Accounts Service in 1967.
He had foreign training in a number of countries including USA, Singapore and Pakistan.
