CAG submits 24 Audit and Accounts Report to Honorable President on May 10, 2016

Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh Mr. Masud Ahmed apprises Honorable President Mr. Md. Abdul Hamid about 24 Audit & Accounts reports on May 10, 2016 during a call on with honorable president at Bangabhaban. During the submission of the reports the honorable president urges upon all custodian of public money to be cautious about financial irregularities and try to avoid audit objections. Honorable president emphasizes on training for audit personnel to be able to cope up with the challenges of fraudulent activities using modern digital technologies. CAG makes honorable president informed that audit department is adding value by saving and recovering public money through audit observation. Twenty Three audit reports, One performance audit report, Six special audit reports, Sixteen annual audit reports and One appropriation accounts are submitted to honorable president during the visit. A total number of 333 audit observations amounting Taka 11,687.33 crore and USD 9.93 million against 22 ministries were included in 28 audit reports.
