A Press Conference on the occasion of 42nd anniversary of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh was held on May 11, 2015 at Audit Bhaban, Kakrail, Dhaka. It has been stated in the conference that the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh prepared 1207 audit reports since the independence of Bangladesh. In the conference, Honorable Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh, Mr. Masud Ahmed said that various types of financial claims such as payment of pay and allowances of government employees, pay fixation, provident fund advances and other loans, issue of last pay certificate (LPC) etc are being settled by different Accounts Offices under CAG Office. He also stated that all sorts of pre-auditing activities are being performed through the modernization of accounting system by implementing iBAS (Integrated Budget and Accounting System). He mentioned that with the changing demand of time, besides the regular Financial and Compliance Audit, IT Audit, Environmental Audit are also being carried out. Four separate presentations on activities of CAG Office, Civil Accounts Department, Defence Finance Department and Railway Accounts and Finance Departments were also given in the conference. Senior officials of the department attended the press conference.
